Lukey Eats
Luke is eating pretty much anything we are these days (he was stealing bits of hamburger fresh from the grill a few minutes ago) and that's fun. He's a real trip. He's not yet that great at feeding himself anything other than finger foods. These photos show a little of that... :)
He was quite thrilled to get his hands on that spoon and get it right in his mouth!
He hasn't quite learned how to scoop. He mostly just taps the spoon on the bottom.
But he did get a few good bites in there.
Some closeup shots.
And Oh. My.Goodness. This last picture just made me laugh SO stinkin' hard. I don't know what is up with his expressions lately, but he's had some good ones. This one takes the cake.... er, sweet potatoes. :)
We took a video of hand and face clean up because he's just so funny. He usually cries whenever I wash his face, and giggles whenever I wash his hands. Go figure. Also, please excuse the messy background!
Enjoy!

Fun Outside -- Long Alert. :)
So we frequently all head out to the backyard while Andrew cooks on our grill. Luke plays, sometimes we talk to neighbors and it's just generally a good time.
Here is Luke just hanging out.
He likes to head next door and play on their driveway/lawn.
I'm pretty sure that I told him he couldn't go on their porch, or something like that.
So he went in their puddle instead. And wiped out, cause it was slippery.
He was quite unhappy with that turn of events (and I had JUST put those clean clothes on him!).
He seems to have recovered quickly. :)
The neighbors grass is way more fun than ours! (I gotta hand it to him, theirs IS way better than ours!)
Here he is playing with the neighbor, Mrs. A. He thinks she's pretty cool.
I absolutely love this picture! Once she discovered that we were teaching Luke sign language, she started talking with him and showing him some of the signs she knows. This was "Luke, look at me." Precious.
She keeps lots of jugs/buckets of water to water their flowers with. So she started pouring it on Luke's feet.
"Please, do it again!"
Happily splashing away.
It was rather sweet to see them together.
I love the look on his face here. He just kept asking for "More, please!" Made me think of, "Please, sir, may I have some more?"
So we had a great time playing and being played with. :) Neighbors are fun. Water is fun. Neighbors with water? Priceless.

What is this?
Luke is learning to make so many funny expressions these days. I'm lucky to catch any of them on camera, cause he's also enthralled with the camera and keeps trying to see the display. Needless to say, I have quite a lot of pictures of the side of his face, or half of his face, or the back of his head! But this one cracked me up, too. :)
What a silly baby.

Our Little Old Man
I don't know if you can even see this clearly or not, but this outfit always cracked me up. The pants are these cute plaid things that we got from Aunt Andrea last summer in Canada, paired with a onesie I found on clearance last year, too. I just think it makes him look like a little old man, getting ready to go play golf. I wish I had a better picture. He's now outgrown the pants. :(

Sit Down!
Here is our happy little climber. He loves dumping out all the blocks and sitting in this activity table (soon to head home to Sam and Gina's, but don't worry Luke! I found another to replace it). He knows he's not supposed to stand up in it, but he likes to anyway.
Happy little sitter... He can be so proud of himself!
I'm pretty sure this is the face I got when I told him to "sit down now." Hmmmm... :)
