Unfortunately not with me...
I finally caved and actually went to the library and borrowed a Baby Einstein DVD for Luke to watch. These last two weeks where Andrew hasn't been able to hold him have been slightly (okay, incredibly!) exhausting. I just wanted a few minutes to sit and breathe. Poor Andrew has tried to help me keep an eye on Luke, but he can't pick him up and that gets hard for both of us. If I put Luke on the floor and go into the kitchen, Andrew has to yell for me every time Luke gets close to the heaters or grabs the tv cables or eats our shoes or gets stuck under the couch or spits up or... You get the idea. It's been crazy, and I know it's been hard for Andrew to not be able to even hold Luke and I'm sure it's frustrating for him. So, I decided to see if he would sit still if we let him watch a baby program...
It was pretty cute. I think he enjoyed it. And, while I did get several minutes "off" I didn't really do anything but watch him because he was so darn sweet.

Lukey Close-Ups
This is our happy little boy. He really is generally cheerful. I am glad for that because he's such a handful that if he were a grumpy handful, I don't think I'd appreciate that very much! He's learning so much about his little world right now that it's just so fun to watch. He is a great source of delight to his Mom and Dad. We love our little guy! Sorry for the fuzziness of some of the images... It's hard to get him while he's remotely still, and if the lighting is poor, then we're out of luck!
Sorry for the sizing issues on the last one... Andrew was trying to show me how to clean up some of the fuzziness and apparently we picked different sizes when we resized!

Crib Shots
So, the other day (Okay, actually it was two weeks ago. But according to Luke Baxter, that IS the other day.) I went in to get Luke from his nap and he was just being cute looking at me through the slats of his crib. I love this little boy! He's so sweet. A little active, but sweet none the less. :)
No commentary necessary. Enjoy.

My Two Boys
So, this is a picture of Lukey and Daddy just hanging out. (I think they were watching tv....) This was before Andrew's surgery, back when he could still goof off on the floor with our son. I just thought they looked so sweet together. Andrew is doing much better now after a trip back to the ER after his surgery. He's feeling better now and is moving around with little trouble. It was a rough start though and I'm glad that we're past that part. Luke and I both caught nasty colds so we were all sick in some way or other. Anyway, on to the pictures.
I walked into the living room and found them like this. Too cute.
Then they noticed me.... "What are you doing Mommy?"
More to follow now that things are getting back to normal around here. I noticed that I hadn't uploaded pictures since September 28th.... Hopefully we'll get caught up soon!

6 Months Without a Cold
I thought I would make a special "Luke is six months old!" post, but then I didn't want to bump the awesome video out of the top spot... and now, we have our first ever cold. Lukey and I were up all night long (after he woke up right after we headed to bed at a ridiculously early hour because we were all so tired!). I'm sure it's a shock to not be able to breathe properly when you don't know what is going on. It's also hard to wipe the nose of a six month old. Poor baby. It was a rough night and I'm hoping that the both of us can catch up on a little sleep today, although I don't actually know how realistic a hope that is. He is currently sitting quietly on my lap as I type with one hand. You know he's sick if he's sitting quietly as anyone who's met him can attest. It's times like this when I wish Gramma and nGogo lived closer!
Anyway, I intend to post a few more pics soon... We have an almost-crawler on our hands. Such a sweet boy... but he's getting into everything! We need to do some serious baby-proofing. And that's it for now. I'm off to try to steal some cuddles from my son.
